This project's designer challenge was creating an Italian Villa from a contemporary track home in a gated community.
I incorporated arches and softened lines to create roundness. I then added some dark wood and wrought iron to create the warmth that the project required.
My faux finisher came in to create a plaster-like paint finish on all of the walls. This warmed the space further.
The staircase wrought iron design included removing the existing drywall staircase and installing a custom, open staircase I designed. My wrought iron artist definitely rose to the challenge. Beautiful!

One incredible space I designed was a place for my client's art glass that they purchased on their honeymoon in Italy.
When I started the project, they told me about the glass and I saw it sitting on a console table crowded with many other objects. As I listened to them, I realized the art piece needed to be showcased in a way that would be meaningful to them.
I created and designed 3 niches in a flat wall, curved at the top and recessed into the wall. The glass went in the center niche, 2 gorgeous candlesticks in the side niches.
A special shimmery, light reflective finish called Lusterstone was applied to the backs of the niches and they were lit from above.
The glow on the glass nearly matched the glow on my client's faces.

What a great project. This project was a transformation.
See the fireplace before and after. I love the warm colors, golds and terra cottas. They make the space a wonderful place to sit by the fire and read a book.
These clients had just remodeled their backyard. The windows from the dining room look out on an incredible array of flowers.

I absolutely adore the colors, textures and styles of the fabrics in this project.
Note the ethereal drapery treatments. It is truly creates a magical space. The artwork with the fairies was done by my artist and applied onto the wall.
The transformation from before to after in these spaces is truly remarkable. This house is all about trims, fabrics, rugs, and drapes.
Cozy spaces and fantastic entertainment areas! Of course, the grounds are spectacular, too.

What can we say about kitchens? They all need to incorporate the owner's needs and desires.
I encourage my clients to really think out all of their needs in the kitchen. This is an area that generally costs more to remodel and I know my clients will be happy if they can get their needs met.
I think it is important to have the details, but balance them with fabulous color, great tile design, and a touch of whimsy.

Again, function and cost may try to prevail, but the real test of a bath area is the wow factor.
I incorporate all needs, and fabulous tile designs, built in furniture designs, and colors.
Note the gorgeous kiva fireplace in this bathroom design. It burns real wood as per the client's request.
